2. Jacmel

Haiti's cultural capital on the southern coast. The old town's iron-and-wood merchant houses, the waterfront at sunset, the art galleries on every other corner: this is the Haiti the painters paint.

3. Bassin Bleu

A short, rugged trip from Jacmel: a chain of waterfalls and impossibly blue pools hidden in a jungle ravine. You hike in, you swim in water so clear it looks lit from below, and you wonder why the entire internet isn't talking about it. 4. Île-à-Vache
